Is This Elegal?
Right now you’re thinking I’m a total dumbass because I can’t spell illegal. Not so fast Roger Ramjet! Take a look at this video and you’ll see where that spelling came from.
There are a couple of issues I have with this video. The guy who made this thing claims that the pilots involved were busted by the feds. If so, the bearded guy walking around and sounds like he thinks he’s the Pro from Dover probably squealed on them. Really? Busted? What does that mean?
Almost certainly the folks that put on this little airport open house asked these civilian owned Aermacchi S-211s* to do a flyby. OK, these guys might have gotten a little low but if you narc on the very people that showed up to entertain you then you’re not going to get many fliers to accept your invitation in years to come. Of course, the Pro from Dover could very well be an FAA guy that needed to show the locals that he rules with an iron fist.
My advice . . . do not invite Fed guys in the future.
