F-111 Aardvark

There's only two Air Force's in the world that have flown the Aardvark, the USAF and RAAF. I've had a bunch of friends from both who have flown the 111. They all say it's like a Cadillac at low altitude, and forget about trying to run one down on the deck going the speed of stink--it ain't gonna happen. The guys I knew in the Royal Australian Air Force brought new meaning to the term in the weeds. They affectionately referred to the jet as "The Pig." Here's some great footage for all our Aardvark Drivers in the Student body of F-111's in the weeds.
Here's another video about the F-111's action in Gulf 1. It was definitely a fighter retired before it was obsolete. It's speed, range, and all weather capabilities are still impressive in 2011.
We do have some pretty cool Aardvark designs in our store. It was most definitely a central heater for the Warsaw Pact!
