2011 Raytheon Trophy
The 67th Fighter Squadron was presented the 2011 Raytheon Trophy earlier this month. The Raytheon Trophy, previously known as the Hughes Trophy, is presented annually to the best Air Superiority squadron in the Air Force. The Fighting Cocks had previously won the award in 1983, 1986, 1989, and 2003. In fact I just returned from a 67th reunion this past weekend where we had over 50 former Fighting Cocks and their spouses. We picked up right where we left off over 25 years ago, telling stories with our hands and singing songs. That stuff just never gets old. I’ll have some future posts with some songs that have not made it in our FU library yet.
We had this 67th heritage design made up for our reunion. It includes a formation of an F-86, F-105, F-4, and F-15 flying over the 67th patch, which was originally designed by Walt Disney during WW II. The Fighting Cocks have had some famous alumni including FU Hero Robbie Risner. During our reunion you could see the pride in our Alumni that the current day Fighting Cocks continue to set the bar for providing world class Air Superiority. Congratulations to the 67th Fighter Squadron, winner of the 2011 Raytheon Trophy. Cock Standard!
Enjoy the Video below produced by the 67th Fighter Squadron with some appearances from the 44th FS (Foxtrot Bravos), Kadena AWACs, and 18th Wing Tankers. It has some no kidding comm from fights over Okinawa with some great flying footage. Enjoy!

Comments:
Kadena is the last active duty Eagle wing right?
I suppose this could be last opportunity for the venerable ole gal (F-15) to have a shot at the Raytheon Trophy? (F-22 taking over from here?)
Duck
Then there was something about me and my rendition of a KOO KOO clock. I can't confirm nor deny that happened though.
Thanks for the link. Great video and music. Not often one gets the opportunity to view current, real time Air to Air even if it is tempered a bit for public viewing. Congratulations to the Cocks. Cheers, Mutha.
