Shrinkage Sucks

Posted by aaron on September 28, 2009

Too small dressI'm pretty sure shrinkage is something that pisses off everyone. I'm talking about the shrinkage that occurs when you buy a new piece of clothing, wear it once, throw it in the wash and when it comes out of the dryer it's obvious that the damn thing has shrunk and is too small to wear. Usually that's when you look at the label and see it's 100% cotton, made in India and right there, very, very small--even smaller now since the damn label shrunk too--Do Not Dry. There ought to be a law that all cloth used in the manufacture of clothes must be preshrunk before it is cut and sown together. It's infuriating when you can't wear your clothes anymore because they shrunk. Look at the picture here. You can see she is livid. Her black dress is shot. It's way too small. She can't go out like that. Look at the anger in her eyes, her gritted teeth and clenched fists. She is pissed and has every right to be. Just makes you want to hug her and caress her and tell her that everything will be alright.
These clothing manufacturers are laughing all the way to the bank. I can just hear them in their board meetings. "Yeah, let's make that dress out this stuff. These stupid consumers will shrink it and come back to buy another one. We'll double our money because of they're stupidly. That little label is our gold mine. You bought it, you shrunk it, you keep it. HAHAHA!!" Bastards!!

Please note that for aesthetic purposes we made the text match her finger nail polish. Kickass right!!
